The Four Seasons Resort in Nevis
Hands down, one of the premier tennis facilities in the Caribbean, as well as one of the most enchanting resorts in the world.
When you are able to combine a winning tennis facility with the type of tranquil beauty found in the warm waters of the Caribbean you are going to be satisfied every time!
The Four Seasons Resort in Nevis opened in 1991 and has a 10-court, hard and red-clay facility attached to a central plaza and sports center.
Obviously this is a vacation that is a treat for both tennis aficionados and guests looking for a relaxing vacation from the hectic pace of life.
While there is no doubt you will get the relaxation you are seeking, the level of bliss you can expect will almost surely pass your greatest expectations and offer you a pleasant surprise as you experience a slice of the “pure life” on this island in the West Indies.
The resort also boasts a golf course laid out on the slopes of the 3,232-foot dormant volcano of Nevis Peak and designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr. so you can hit the links and some serves each day.
The Four Seasons Resort in Nevis is one of the most prolific tennis resorts in the Caribbean and a fantastic choice if you are looking for upscale luxury and top-level tennis during your vacation.
Nevis, is a small volcanic island that only runs about 8 miles, if you take the long way around. It is the sister island to St. Kitts in the Antilles and is home to many only sugarcane plantations that will give you an authentic feel of the old world Caribbean flavor during your stay.
Even though being in the “Four Seasons” world of luxury will make you feel literally “out of this world” you can also find that authentic Caribbean vibe just outside the front gates of the Four Seasons Resort Nevis.
Peter Burwash International has managed this tennis facility since the resort opened. The Peter Burwash pros at Four Seasons Resort Nevis have done a great job working with the hotel’s management and staff, and encourage local participation, with the goal of having a diverse stable of players to draw on when guests come looking for matches.
Tennis court fees for the six hard courts and the four red-clay courts are $35 per hour. The sports area surrounding the tennis courts also houses a golf clubhouse as well as a spa and fitness center.
Like usual the Four Seasons golden touch is on display with floral scented chilled towels, flavored water, and just about any other amenities that you would desire.
If you plan on playing continuously throughout your stay at the Four Seasons Resort in Nevis you should inquire about the “Avid Player” package with options from $55 per person per day, or $210 per person per week.
Plan Your Trip
The best time of year to go is during the winter months beginning in Late November-December all the way through February. This helps you to avoid the hurricane season and all-around messy weather. The resort has 196 rooms and suites in gingerbread-trimmed cottages, which variously have golf course or ocean views.
There can be minimum stay requirements that may apply at certain times of the year, but Four Seasons also offers many promotions that include 4th nights FREE at certain times, so be sure to look into that as well. You can also save money if you choose to go during off-season when the demand is lower, be aware you could run into less than perfect weather if you take this route.
