QUICK RECOVERY: This footwork technique is slightly different than the typical side shuffle recovery footwork used. When you are under extreme duress and need to speed up your recovery steps to get back in position, that is when you will utilize the quick recovery process. The process is simple enough, it is the intensity that is the key factor. As you finish the follow-through phase on your shot, you simply utilize a cross-over step or carioca step, stepping with your outer foot over your inside foot. This technique will allow you to cover more ground than the side-shuffle. After you complete this first step, you will transition into a proper side-shuffle until you arrive back into the desired court positioning and await the next shot from your opponent.
*Remember that Intensity is key in this maneuver
